We hope all of you enjoyed the month of July as much as we did here is a list of the five things we each LOVED this month. You should really check them out!
Sincerely,

Kodi:
1)Benefit Foundation:
- I only recently purchased a bottle of this foundation, but it has already become one of my favorite makeup products. I have been looking for a light foundation that has sunscreen in it and doesn't irritate my skin for ages, and was thrilled when I found this. Granted, it is a little on the expensive side, but in my opinion it is totally worth it. It gives a light and airy coverage and hydrates your skin while hiding any imperfections.
2) The Taming of the Shrew:
- I am currently working on a fantastic scene from this play at the program that I am in and I could not be more excited about it. This happens to be one of the Shakespeare plays that I am not super familiar with, so being cast as Kate gave me the opportunity to read the play for the first time. If any of you are into Shakespeare (reading it or seeing it) I highly recommend this play for a good laugh and some fantastically feisty characters.
- I recently ran out of my rollerball version of my everyday perfume and so I decided to change it up a bit and get a new scent. I had used a Michael Kors product before that was made with the Michael scent and remembered really liking it. The scent is a little bit more "grown-up" from the perfume that I usually wear, which is a nice change of pace. The packaging that it comes in is also fantastic, it is super easy just to throw into my purse, and it comes with a lipgloss.
- I have been using this tonic in my skin care regimen for years and ran out of it towards the middle of June. I ended up not replenishing it until about a week into July, and my skin is incredibly grateful that I did. I could immediately tell the difference once I began using it again, my skin once again became smooth and soft and was much less splotchy.
- This was a very long overdue purchase, as I had been running on my previous running shoes for about three years. Being the procrastinator that I am, I waited until the last possible moment to buy a new pair of shoes, which just so happened to be when running in my old shoes caused me to injure myself (yay!). But I am very excited about these, the new free runs feel even lighter if that is at all possible which I absolutely love, and I was able to get them in an incredibly loud and obnoxious pink which is loads of fun.
1) Almonds:
- This past month I have been snacking on almonds like there is no tomorrow. I think it's probably because at the beginning of the month I ate a whole family pack of tater tots in one sitting (SO unhealthy, I know) and felt as though I couldn't eat carbohydrates for a week. Though I hope to one day eat potatoes again, I am thankful I replaced them with almonds instead of ice cream.
- For this past month I have participated in Camp NanoWriMo. This was my first time in the NanoWriMo world and I quite enjoyed myself. Though I don't think I'll complete my word goal of 30,000 (I'm only at 18,438) I'm excited to get better as each writing month comes. If you are also a writer, I highly recommend joining the next one in November
- This past Monday I got a job with a very big yoga company (I won't say the name yet because it's only my first week) and have been able to practice yoga more because of it. I love being part of a team of positive and healthy individuals and I am excited to see where it leads.
- Coffee Shops. I love coffee shops. And I'm not talking about your corporate chains, no, I'm talking about those little hole in the wall shops stuffed with oriental cushions, old rickety tables, and weird paintings lining the walls. The people there are non-disruptive and the ambiance is calming. Honestly, it's my favorite place to write, I wish I could just live in one.
- The two summers before this one I have worked at the Idyllwild Art's Summer Camp as a camp counselor and this summer I simply returned as a visitor. It was weird and different, but I enjoyed it none the less. I loved being surrounded once again by my artsy, creative friends and old, feral woods.
