13 tricks to being happy

    Hello world! I hope all of your gorgeous faces are enjoying the beautiful world around you. Recently, I have noticed that the majority of blogs that I really enjoy reading will often write blog posts in the form of a list. Over the past year of my life, a lot of huge changes have happened, some that have made me incredibly happy and some that made me question myself. And so, in recent months, my overall goal has been to be as happy as I can on a day to day basis. I have recently learned that the "fake it til you make it" mentality totally works when you are having a bad day. If you just force yourself to smile and watch a funny video, or call an old friend-something in your energy shifts. So, I figured if this is something that I am trying hard to work on, chances are there is someone else out there in the world working on it as well.
As of right now here are my 13 tricks to being happy: 
1. Compliment a stranger and make them smile
2. Exercise-even if it is just a short walk outdoors
3. Sing (or hum if singing terrifies you as much as it terrifies me)
4. Listen to music that pumps you up
5. Let go of your misery or anger (it isn't worth anything)
6. Watch/do/look at something that will make you laugh
7. Don't ever hold back laughter
8. Get a good night's sleep or take a short nap
9. Start your day with a breakfast that you are excited about
10. Check off one thing that has been sitting on your to-do list for longer than you would like
11. Write down five things that you are grateful for in that moment
12. Send a cute card to someone you miss or love
13. Believe that the universe is on your side today
 Hopefully something on this list will help someone out there in the big wide world, whenever I am feeling down, these definitely help to pick my spirits back up again.
