Laugh More

Hello World! I hope that all of your lives are absolutely stupendous right now.  I had originally thought of writing something about classes starting and moving back into a college dorm, but then I had an interesting experience alone in my car and thought I could turn it into this week's blog post instead. So here it goes:
The other day I was sitting in my car at a crowded intersection with my windows down and the music on, just in my own little world when Love on Top came on the radio. Now, I don't know if any of you have seen the "Bring the beat in" vine (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SNvwZodKEX0), but I personally think it is one of the funniest things that exists in the great world of the internet. So, naturally when that song came on my mind immediately played that vine over in my head and I began dying of laughter, alone, in my car, with everyone around me staring. Instinctively, I stopped realizing how ridiculous I looked and sounded to all of the people in the cars around me. But then I thought to myself, why on Earth would I ever be embarrassed about enjoying myself and having a laugh about something that I sincerely thought was hilarious? Who cares if no one else was there to share the moment with me?
One of the greatest joys in life is experiencing laughter, and I held it back because I was afraid of being judged by the people around me. People who I would most likely never see again. Once I stopped laughing it made me think about how absolutely ridiculous my instinct to stop laughing was.  Why shouldn't I indulge in fully allowing myself to appreciate something that made me happy?
So, I have now decided that every moment in my life that I can spend laughing, I will. Even if the joke was terrible, or I am completely alone, laughter is infectious and leads to joy, which I believe is something we need more of in this world.
I do apologize for the shortness of this post, my life has been an absolute whirlwind these past few weeks, but I am now settling back into my college life and will be on track for some much better writing in the near future.
Stay Awesome,
Kodi
